Liability Issues in Social Work Administration
Abstract
Provides an overview of liability issues that arise in social work
administration, introducing the concepts of liability, malpractice,
& negligence. Specific liability risks pertain to handling
confidential information, privileged communication, negligent
intervention (eg, problems concerning informed consent, assessment,
treatment techniques, suicide prevention), consultation, supervision,
recording, impaired staff, & termination of services. Strategies
