A Comparison of Parish Councils and Voluntary Organizations in Action
Abstract
The British experience in highway transportation (trunk road) planning
at the local governmental (parish) level is explored. Patterns of
consultation between highway authorities & local governments &
voluntary associations were surveyed by questionnaire in 1976 (N = 376
usable responses from a population of 800). Useful roles for
government & voluntary associations are identified &
contrasted. HA.
