The contribution of marketing research to health and welfare programs.
Abstract
Marketing research, so essential to the world of commercial enterprise, offers new challenges and opportunities to those concerned with the planning, delivery, and administration of public social and health services. When applied in this area, it holds unlimited possibilities for more rational and meaningful needs assessments, policy determinations, and patterns of service delivery. Presented are examples of the ways in which marketing research techniques have been applied in public welfare planning and implementation in the United Kingdom. (Journal abstract, edited.)
