Using Business Marketing Concepts to View the Private, Non-Profit, Social Service Agency

Abstract

Some basic marketing concepts borrowed from business organizations are increasingly being applied to the management of nonprofit organizations. Several marketing concepts are defined; suggestions are offered as to how they may be used by administrators of private, nonprofit, social service agencies. A matrix is given which, together with a 10-step decision-making process, illustrates how the administrator may find marketing concepts useful in agency operations. HA.
