Communication and Donor Relations: A Social Skills Perspective

Abstract

The work of donor relations in nonprofit organizations is accomplished through communication. This article suggests a relationship between social skills abilities and effective organi¬zational communication. High-level social skills may facilitate strong relationships with potential donors and enable develop¬ment personnel to address institutional goals more effectively.
