Reducing Funding Risk and Implementing a Fundraising Plan: A Case Study.

Abstract

Small nonprofit organizations in the health care and human services fields can find themselves frozen into a dependence on government funding. They run the risk of constricting their management choices and neglecting other potential funding sources. Often a fundamental shift in attitude is necessary in order to deemphasize service-based contracts and to transform private fundraising into a central activity of the business.
