Inter-Agency Collaboration: Some Working Principles

Abstract

Factors leading to effective collaboration among social service agencies are discussed: preconditions include mutuality, timing, authority & influence, & creativity; conditions include the notion that every party to the negotiations is a winner, acknowledging responsibility for the problem, exposure to common risk, & acceptance of limits.
