Blending Administrative and Community Organization Practice: The Case of Community Residential Facilities

Abstract

Management of community programs serving deinstitutionalized populations is discussed. A case is made for the concept of "community integration" (reentry into society), arguing that translating the concept into meaningful practice requires clearer specification of the relevant client communities & calls for a blending of traditional administrative & community organization skills, with resultant implications for social work education. 1 Figure, 45 References.
