A framework for curriculum planning in social welfare administration

Abstract

A scheme was developed to guide decision-making about curriculum development for social welfare administration. The three major content areas for social administration are (1) policy development and implementation, (2) managerial technologies, and (3) social service technologies. A contingency approach is used to achieve the appropriate mix of content areas based on the level of administrative practice for which one is preparing. (Journal abstract, edited.)
