Relationships between Employee Training and Error Rates in Public Welfare Programs

Abstract

The relationship between employee training & error rates in public welfare programs was investigated utilizing a questionnaire survey of 2,625 predominantly F employees of 4 major public welfare programs. The results provided some support for the hypothesis that employee training, especially on policy & procedures, is associated with lower error rates. The implications of these findings for centralized training functions & training information systems are discussed. 5 Tables. Modified HA.
