Functions of Neighborhood Advisory Groups
Abstract
Advisory Neighborhood Commissions in Washington, DC, were studied
through financial statements, newspaper stories, & interview data
from a number of officials, & five major functions were
identified: policy advising, dealing with service complaints,
coproduction, service provision, & regulating quality of life.
Such neighborhood participation provides new forms of Ur politics in a
time of social change. Modified HA.
