Ethics and the Managing of Service Effectiveness in Social Welfare

Abstract

A discussion of the possibility of ethical management in social welfare practice. Elements that must be considered in arriving at an evaluation of the influence of ethics in managerial behavior, & ultimately on an organization's service effectiveness, are identified. A set of guiding practice principles, grounded in an ethical framework, which can be defended on empirical as well as ethical grounds, is suggested. 11 References. Modified.
