Developmental social administration

Abstract

The social work literature on administration, program evaluation, and service delivery has recognized conflicts inherent in the dominate paradigms of each domain. The author discusses the problems of existing models of social work administration and the experience of the social work professional in agency settings. Presented is an approach to social work management, supervision, and service delivery, designed to improve program effectiveness by utilizing a format for integrating qualitative and quantitative research methods into a functional practice approach.
