Evaluating the Executive Director's Performance

Abstract

Performance appraisal of the executive director is a task that has been given insufficient attention both in the literature & in agency management practice. This critical need is addressed here particularly for the voluntary social agency, through suggesting answers to the questions: Whose responsibility is it? Why doesn't it occur more systematically? Why is it important? How can it best be done? A viable format for evaluating executive director performance is presented. 1 Figure, 16 References. HA.
