Local Development Agencies: Supporting Voluntary Action
Abstract
Questionnaire & interview data are used to examine the role of
local development agencies (N not given) in developing &
supporting local voluntary action. Findings show that these agencies
are equipped with the potential to make a significant contribution to
their communities, in particular by taking on a strategic role as
catalysts for service development. Recommendations are made both for
the management of these agencies & for the roles of central &
local government in supporting them. 4 Tables, 21 References. Adapted
