A microcomputer based human service information system.

Abstract

Microcomputer technology is developing to the point where it can be used on a cost-effective basis by a small human service agency and even by the private practitioner. A microcomputer-based information system is described that addresses basic data management needs. It presents the basic concepts associated with a microcomputer-based information system, the choices that must be made in developing a system, and the limitations of the system. The system described is an in-house, on-line interactive system capable of being used by most agency personnel after minimal training. (Journal abstract, edited.)
