Feasibility as a consideration in small computer selection.

Abstract

Feasibility is a critical step in the implementation of a formal information system, particularly one that will or does include computing machinery. Feasibility refers to the process of investigating and evaluating proposed systems, assessing costs and benefits of each alternative, and selecting a system. Feasbility--technical, operational, and economic--is reviewed, and suggestions for moving through each feasibility step are presented. Attention is paid to the particular needs of human service agencies at each step, and examples are drawn from human service settings. (Journal abstract, edited.)
