Women in social work administration: current role strains

Abstract

Social work administration is generally perceived as a male role within a female profession. The role strains and conflicts faced by female administrators because of these perceptions should be looked at seriously as the profession of social work addresses the problem of sexism within its own ranks. Outlined are suggestions concerning the reduction of some of the role strains.
